Akshay, John to fight 50 bad guys

For a fight sequence in Sajid Khan’s Housefull 2, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham along with co-stars Riteish Deshmukh and Shreyas Talpade will fight 50 bad guys. And to coordinate the action sequence, the director has roped in Hollywood stunt master Seng Kawee. “The fighters will come from France,
Africa, America and Thailand among other countries. My action is going to be serious and not funny,” says Sajid, who admits he has always been fascinated with the genre.

Kawee has worked on films like the Sylvester Stallone-starrer Rambo (2008), the Leonardo Di-Caprio-starrer The Beach (2000) and Angelina Jolie’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) apart from others. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala feels “Kawee’s inclusion is a step forward”  since he has always tried to add value to his films including roping in big stars for his last Kambakkht Ishq (2009). Impressed with the touch of grittiness in Kawee’s action sequences for Rambo, Nadiadwala adds, “His action is all about being ‘real’ with no wires or graphics. So, if a character flips over, Kawee will make his actor do it. It’s very different from Matrix-style stunts where people are flying all over.” Though Khan has designed the action in Housefull 2, Kawee and action director Mahender Verma will coordinate it. “We plan to film it in September. Though I’m not worried about Akshay and John’s fitness, Ritesh and Shreyas will have to undergo training before we start. It’s going to be an intense sequence. We have wrapped up 65 per cent of the film with about 40 days of shooting left,” informs Khan.
